There are so many Bibles on the market, even to the seasoned Christian it is a challenge to actually find a bible you can afford and love to read. Don't be hasty to just buy any Bible, do a little research first.
You will want to buy a Bible that you can understand. Though many people will not part with their King James Bibles, even under threat of death. Please know that Jesus nor anyone in the Bible spoke in thee's thous' or shalt nots. I agree, that the King James version is poetic sounding, but not always that easy to read or understand. So if you are buying a bible for your child or teen, please reconsider before buying them a King James Bible.
Do some Research: I suggest that you look at several versions of bible to compare what is easiest for you to understand. I suggest downloading a free copy of E-Sword online with several versions with which to compare.
