Pharmacy Technician



The Pharmacy Technician performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).

Please note the following important details regarding this position:




  • This is anonsite position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location.


  • Candidates must reside within commutable distanceof the following office location:


  • Texas: Plainview


  • Must beavailable to work weekends and holidaysas scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements.



Required Qualifications:




  • H.S. Diploma -OR- GED


  • Upon hire:


  • Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee -OR-


  • Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License


  • Minimum of one (1) year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program


  • Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state


  • Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
